A hotel exterior plan should divide the property into five operating zones, then give each zone a service window, surface-safe method, guest-control plan, water and runoff plan, acceptance standard, and fallback. Glass standard
Clean the glass you actually have.
The National Glass Association's 2023 procedure says to identify the glass construction and exposed coatings, test each construction in daylight, avoid acid glass cleaners, and, for its pure-water extension-pole technique, use purified water at 20 ppm total dissolved solids or less.

Choose access after the calendar and site.
A hotel may need aerial, water-fed, lift, rope, soft-wash, ground, interior, or hand methods across one property. If rope descent is proposed, OSHA requires written building-owner anchorage information (accessed August 27, 2026) before use. If a small UAS is proposed, the FAA's Part 107 rules (updated July 6, 2026) and mission-specific airspace and operations-over-people requirements still apply.

Make water, chemistry, and runoff visible.
AHLA's Responsible Stay (December 2022) makes water conservation and responsible sourcing hotel-industry priorities. EPA WaterSense (accessed August 27, 2026) gives commercial-building managers tools to assess and manage water use, including hotel-specific H2Otel resources. For outdoor chemistry, EPA Safer Choice (revised August 2024) applies added criteria to products intended for direct environmental release.
Dallas City Code §19-118.2 (current April 2026) prohibits discharge into the stormwater system from a mobile power-washing operation when wastewater contains a harmful quantity of cleaning substances or pollutants. SkyPSI plans chemistry and runoff before washing begins.
The site plan records the water source, chemistry and safety data, pure-water reading when applicable, drain protection, collection or diversion method, and landscaping controls.

AAA's lodging guidelines (June 2019) require associated facilities to be clean and well maintained and consider the overall impression of exterior and public spaces. Turn that principle into evidence: zone-level completion photos, the agreed finish, pre-existing defects, areas reopened, exceptions, and a named correction path.
