Other Cleaning Drones Are Coming. That Is Good for the Industry.

Cleaning drones are no longer a two-company category. ABZ is the clearest European challenger, KTV brings a system-and-service model, and newer manufacturers publish increasingly ambitious numbers. More competition validates the market. It also makes buyer discipline more important: published output, hose lift, runtime under load, compliance, parts, training, support, and access to paying work matter more than a dramatic demo reel.

The field now includes U.S. incumbents, European systems, service networks, and a growing catalog-manufacturer layer.

ABZ is the newcomer worth watching most closely

Hungary-based ABZ Innovation publishes a credible C10 platform with radar, RTK-assisted automated vertical loops, EU C5 certification, up to 60 meters of reach, 200 bar of pressure, and 11.6 liters per minute of flow. That converts to roughly 197 feet, 2,900 PSI, and 3 GPM.

Against those published numbers, the B2 has essentially comparable reach and substantially higher published pressure and flow: up to 195 feet, up to 4,000 PSI, and up to 11 GPM. ABZ publishes meaningful automation, so SkyPSI does not claim an automation advantage without a matched test.

KTV is a different kind of competitor

KTV Working Drone is better understood as a cleaning method, autonomy, safety-anchor, service, and network system than as a conventional standalone airframe seller. Its parent company traces its cleaning history to 1992 and says its DJI relationship began in 2018.

That model deserves attention because it recognizes the same truth SkyPSI does: commercial results come from the operating system around the aircraft, not only the aircraft.

Aspira and EAUAV publish big numbers

U.K.-based Aspira markets CE/C5 systems and publishes up to 5,000 PSI, 40 liters per minute, and about 40 minutes for its AC 4.2. China's EAUAV publishes 40 to 50 minutes, a 100-meter hose, 3,000 PSI ground pump, radar, RTK, autonomous routes, and IP65 for the Vertex C80.

Those are manufacturer specifications, not proof of a mature U.S. installed base, parts network, training system, or loaded performance in the same conditions. They are still important because they show how quickly the engineering frontier is moving.

The catalog wave will be larger than the support wave

Hoch, United UAV, WashCopter, DJI-conversion sellers, and other importers are already expanding the catalog. Some will build real products and service organizations. Others will be attractive airframes attached to thin documentation and a distant parts path.
